Terms and conditions

LLM Waves operates an index of AI models, coding agents and inference providers. Benchmark scores, output speeds, latencies and list prices are collected from published sources and presented for comparison. Cost per task is not collected — it is derived, by applying published list prices to one fixed token profile that is the same for every model and is published in full on the methodology page.

Everything here is a point-in-time snapshot. Models are renamed, repriced and retired constantly, and a figure that was right on the day it was recorded may be wrong by the time you read it.

The site is offered as it is. No promise is made that any number on it is current, complete or correct, and no promise is made that the site will be available or uninterrupted.

Three limits are worth stating plainly, because they are the ones that bite. Benchmarks measure performance on a benchmark, which is not the same as performance on your workload. Speed and latency are medians across the providers serving a model, so the endpoint you actually call may be faster or slower. Prices are list prices — negotiated rates, committed-use discounts, free tiers and cache pricing are not modelled, so a bill will rarely match a cost estimate here exactly.

Decisions with money attached should be checked against the vendor's own pricing and your own evaluation. If you find a figure that is wrong, tell us — see the contact page — and it will be corrected.

Quoting individual figures, charts or passages is welcome, with attribution to LLM Waves and a link to the page the figure came from. Journalists, researchers and analysts do not need to ask first.

What is not permitted, without written agreement:

• Copying the index — or a substantial part of it — to build a competing directory or dataset.
• Automated bulk collection: crawlers that ignore robots.txt, request pages at a rate that degrades the site for other readers, or attempt to reconstruct the underlying dataset page by page.
• Republishing the site's written analysis in full, whether by hand or by machine.
• Presenting the figures as your own measurements, or stripping the attribution that says where they came from.

Requests that are unreasonable in volume may be rate-limited or blocked. If you want the data in bulk for research, ask rather than scrape: contact@llmwaves.com.

Model, company and product names on this site belong to their owners and are used descriptively, to say which model a row is about. Their appearance here does not imply any partnership, sponsorship or endorsement in either direction. This site is independent of every organisation it covers.

The site's own name, wordmark and written material are ours, and the layout, charts and editorial text are protected as such.

Do not attempt to breach, overload or interfere with the site or the infrastructure behind it, and do not use it to break the law. That is the whole of it — there is no account to abuse and no other reader whose experience you can degrade except through the front door.

If you send us an article — see write for us — you confirm it is your own work, that it is not published elsewhere, and that any figure in it can be sourced. You keep the copyright. You grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive right to publish it here, to edit it for accuracy and house style, and to distribute it as part of the site.

Corrections, tips and source links sent to us may be acted on and published without payment or attribution unless you ask otherwise, since a corrected number rarely carries a byline.

Pages here link to vendor documentation, pricing pages, benchmark papers and provider dashboards. Those sites are not under our control; linking to one is not an endorsement of it, and what happens on it is between you and its operator.

To the fullest extent the law allows, LLM Waves is not liable for loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything published on it — including procurement decisions, cost overruns, architectural choices, lost profits or lost data. This includes figures that turn out to be inaccurate, stale, or accurate but unsuited to your case.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if any provision proves unenforceable the rest continues to apply.

These terms may change as the site does. The date at the top records the last substantive revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised version.
